“I was feeling hungry and fancied a Sunday roast lunch so I was recommended this pub by So Bar in Knaresborough. I was informed that there would be a delay with the food but when it arrived it was tasty, nicely presented and a suitable quantity on the plate. Blaise, Ella and Sarah were very accommodating and polite to me in their bar and waitress service. Even though I have lived in Harrogate for 26 years this year I will definitely be recommending this pub to everyone I know. Also the pub toilets were clean and well stocked of accessories needed for a restroom.”
“Stopped in here for a meal the service is really good the kitchen was mega busy they couldn't apologize enough. The food was really good.”
“I went for an afternoon meal here on the 24th October, ordered the Chicken Parmo for me and my wife, it arrived in a reasonable time and was absolutely delicious. The Groves claims it is a North East delicacy; but it is actually originally a Middlesbrough one, but has now spread far and wide Living there I have eaten a Parmo in many different places and this stands comparison with the best. Combined with the reasonable Lager prices and really pleasant staff, it was an enjoyable meal and we will return.”
“We came across the groves inn by happy accident while we were visiting the area for the first time on our way to Harrogate. The building inside has been beautifully renovated and much bigger than it looks from the outside tables are nicely spaced so you dont feel crowded and even though they appeared quite busy we didn't feel rushed The menu itself had plenty of choice, not your usual pub grub .I had haddock fishcakes in a bed of crushed new potatoes with hollandaise sauce and it was absolutely gorgeous and team member wendy was very friendly and approachable. When we left we. Visited the toilets and they were very clean with an added bonus of lovely scented soup and hand lotion its a shame we dont live in the area as we would definitely visited again”
“Absolute amazing, always awesome food, and the staff are always happy to help especially with a wide selection of gluten free options for my fair lady. Would highly recommend”
“Popped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had the bangers and mash. Lovely hearty tasty food on offer here. Proper Yorkshire serving. Never had it with crispy onions but, I loved it. Staff were polite, friendly and professional. As it should be! I will return and definitely recommend.”
“Good food and cheap drinks. Not a huge amount of veggie options on the menu, but what there is was really tasty and filling”
